Why not Canva, WiseStamp, or MySignature?

Every alternative does something well. Here is what each one is genuinely good at — and where, if we are being fair, it falls short for the job we are building newmail.click around.

Canva
canva.com
$15 / mo (Pro) · free tier with watermark

Beautiful drag-and-drop signature templates, brand kit, photo editing.

What they do well

Hard to beat on visual polish and the brand-kit ecosystem if you already live in Canva.

The catch

Canva exports your signature as a flat PNG / JPG image. Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail block remote images by default, so most of your recipients see a grey box with a broken-image icon. Links inside the image are not clickable. There is no tracking — no clicks, no opens, no analytics.

newmail.click

newmail.click outputs clean inline HTML with clickable text links — no image to break. Free.

Mail-Signatures.com (CodeTwo)
mail-signatures.com
Free generator · enterprise tool from $1,500+/yr

Big free HTML template gallery from CodeTwo, the corporate signature-management vendor.

What they do well

Generates real inline HTML (not images). Plenty of templates. Reputable parent company.

The catch

The free generator is a lead magnet for CodeTwo Email Signatures for Office 365 / Exchange — that is what they actually sell. No accounts, no saved signatures, no tracking, no editing after you copy. Every visit you re-enter your details from scratch.

newmail.click

Same quality HTML output, plus saved signatures, click tracking, UTM auto-tagging and a $19/mo Pro tier instead of $1,500/yr enterprise.

MySignature.io
mysignature.io
$9 / mo (annual) · free with branding

Clean editor, 50+ templates, click tracking on paid plans.

What they do well

Solid editor. Click tracking and basic analytics on Pro. Has been around since 2015.

The catch

Free plan injects a "Created with MySignature" branding line in every signature you send. Pro is roughly twice our price and still does not give you per-recipient identity, Slack alerts or UTM auto-tagging — just aggregate clicks and opens.

newmail.click

No branding on Free. Pro is $19/mo and adds per-recipient identity, real-time Slack alerts and UTM tagging that MySignature does not have.

WiseStamp
wisestamp.com
$5.80 / user / mo (annual) · free with branding

Signatures + add-ons (Instagram feed, promo banners, disclaimers) and team plans.

What they do well

Rich add-on library if you want a live Instagram strip or rotating banner from day one. Strong team / agency offering.

The catch

Free plan adds a "Powered by WiseStamp" line under every email. Paid is per-user / billed annually — a 5-person team is $348/yr minimum. Open tracking is the standard pixel, not MPP-aware; no per-recipient identity.

newmail.click

Same banner-scheduler idea, no per-user pricing, no branding on Free, and we tell you honestly what an "open" really means.

HubSpot Signature Maker
hubspot.com/email-signature-generator
Free generator · CRM from $20+/mo

Free HubSpot-branded signature builder, six templates.

What they do well

Truly free. Output is clean HTML. Pairs with the HubSpot CRM if you already use it.

The catch

Six templates, no saved signatures, no edits after copy, and no tracking at all — the free generator is a top-of-funnel for the HubSpot CRM. You also cannot easily strip the HubSpot UTM tags they bake into the contact links.

newmail.click

50 templates, signatures you can save and edit, optional tracking that you control, your UTMs instead of theirs.

HtmlSig
htmlsig.com
$5 / mo · free preview

Simple subscription HTML signature builder, around since 2013.

What they do well

Veteran tool at a similar price point, ad-free.

The catch

Editor and template library feel like 2015. No click tracking, no analytics, no Slack alerts, no UTM, no team features. You are paying for hosting your signature HTML and small tweaks.

newmail.click

Same price, fresher templates (50 of them), and the Pro tier is loaded with the intelligence layer HtmlSig never built.

Prices and feature sets verified May 2026. We update this page when competitors ship something new — if anything here is stale, email and we will fix it. [email protected]

Why "clicks: precise, opens: directional"?

Apple Mail's Privacy Protection (2021+) pre-fetches every image on Apple servers — so open pixels fire whether the recipient ever opened the email or not. Most tools quietly inflate "opens" with these false positives. We surface them honestly: clicks are the real signal, opens are a hint.
